I was living with my first husband, David, on Avenue X and East 3rd. He decided he wanted to move. I wanted to stay in Brooklyn. We moved to Long Island, don’t get me wrong, the house was gorgeous, gorgeous. We had attic rooms, we had a basement, and everything you would want. But I wasn’t happy. See it doesn’t count where you are. It’s who you’re with. My husband was a dud. I divorced him, and I’d divorce him again! Houses, houses… So I said, “Let’s get divorced.” So I moved back to my house. I had my own place. My son was there and I wanted to be with him. I think he’s 57…I forget! But then I met Frank. I love blacks! He was black.
